Walther Q5 SF

Postby ZeeC on Mon Jan 28, 2019 3:00 pm

S&B had it out to shoot at Thursday’s night leagues. I like my PPQ and granted I only got six shots with it I didn’t like the grip, felt short. Maybe I’m spoiled shooting my CZ shadow 2 and czechmate but I like the grip better.

That being said I think it’s cool walthers is making an all metal gun.

Anyone else shoot it.

I’ve been eyeing the poly Q5 match for a while. I’d like to shoot them both. The SF is going to be a lot more expensive I think.

You also mentioned the CZ Shadow 2. That gun is at the top of my wish list for DA/SA pistols.

I have already converted a couple people over to the Shadow 2 once they shot mine.

I thought I saw the Q5 SF for 1200-1300 online you can get a Shadow 2 online for 1000 pretty easy.

I am curious about this new Walther as well, although I did pick up a 2011 last year and like it better than the CZ competition guns I have tried (Shadow 2, Orange Tactical Sport, original Tactical Sport).

I picked up my czechmate for 2700 online considering you get 3 19 rd mags a big stick mag an extra barrel and the red dot that’s a heck of a deal. (And it sold out fairly quick)

I love my P99. An all metal SAO gun which is otherwise similar could be REALLY nice for competition. I can't afford one, but I'd still like the opportunity to try one out.
