Glock 34

Postby mnmike59 on Mon Feb 23, 2009 6:35 pm

I just picked up a G34 today. :)
I was sitting at my office with my range bag at home. :( I thought man would I like to shoot this new gun!.............. Hell with it! Went to BPR with nothing but the new gun in case.
I bought a couple boxes of 9mm and a target. Had to use those scratched safety glasses, but I thought Oh well they'll do.
I couldn't believe how well this gun shot! I love it! I own an XDm9 and a couple of .45's G21 and XD compact. But this was by far the best shooting gun! Nice groups at ranges from 21' to 50'
I'm really excited to do some holster work with it. Sorry I don't mean to waste anyone's time with this. I'm just excited!

That's EXACTLY how I felt when I picked up my new MP9 the other day. of course, _I_ had ammo and range ass in my car. It had been waiting there for several weeks while the pistola arrived.

Great feeling, isn't it?

I'm almost afraid to ask..... You have a different ass you use for going to the range? I find that my normal ass works just fine. :?

it takes a HUGE ass to talk out his ass like I do at the range ... more than your normal range ass is required ... ;-)

Glad you like your G34! I bought one last year from the Sportsman's Warehouse in Woodbury and couldn't be happier. Plus, it was my first Glock!

Excellent sporting gun - the 34 is just a cupcake to shoot well. I took a 4-day pistol class at Front Sight with one and it is just perfect for that type of shooing. it shoots soft an follow up shots are fast. This is gun that can make you a better shooter IMHO.

Heck of a gun and you have every right to be excited - heck I am happy for you. If it is a gun that you shoot well and makes you excited to pratice - then it will make you a better shooter in the long run.

Enjoy it and treat it well.

i figured i would bring this topic back up for a question about the G 34. i know its legal to use in the USPSA production list, but when i lookup on the IPSC production list, it says G 34 is not allowed. At minnetonka gun club (the closest place to me and only place ive shot IPSC) they title it "wednesday night IPSC", so i ask, would this gun be legal to use at the gun club for wednesday IPSC, or would i be following USPSA rules there and wouold the gun be legal? im new to this mostly and just trying to clear it up a bit. thanks!
