or you could save it for a gun buy back
or you could donate it to an Instructor for display purposes (hint ...hint)
or donate to a collector
or you could take it to the local PD.........personally I would choose this option last
I'm sure you will get some responses offering to buy it...........be careful (PTP or P2C).
Do whatever makes you comfortable.

Tom makes several good suggestions, we have an RSG (sp) that my partner, an FFL, obtained as part of an estate. When we took it to the gunsmith he took one look and said, no way, we were warned about these in gunsmith school. His point was working on them is a career and although German made, they are complete junk. We explained we just wanted the firing pin pulled and tossed so the gun was completely useless. The students enjoy seeing it, so an instructor could make good use of it.
I thought about trying to buy a junk gun from a student, a Jennings 22, but decided it would be better for her to get $75 from Minneapolis rather than $10 from me. Hey, they have money to advertise city water, a gun buy back should happen soon.
