Before I went to .45acp for carry, my carry weapon was my CZ PCR for some of the same reasons many folks like the Glock 19; light weight with an alloy frame, easy shooting, and utter reliability. It also has the advantage (to my taste) of better grip ergonomics than the Glock.

I'm fine carrying 9mm cause I've shot a lot of it. I know how it feels, I know the gun. I think being 100% in tune with the gun is as important as ammo. Within reason. I wouldn't carry less than 9mm, maybe 380 if it felt good to me.

What ammo do you carry Don?

Well Paul, seem as you asked, generally carry 124g gold dots, or if its not available then whatever, I ain't overly fussy, anyone that gets 16 whatevers emptied into them is going to have a real bad day. 99% of the time though its stoked with the gold dots

I like the Gold Dots too, and used to carry them before the HST came around.

+1

Ever since the HSTs came out, I've noticed that bad guys just aren't giving Gold Dots the same respek.

I'll roll with MitchX3's subgun ammo. 140gr. TMJ at 1400fps will do the trick. Exit wounds bleed more.

My EDC of late has been a 9x19. Although it's plastic and American-made, it's not a S&W.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I carry a Sig P226 in 9mm w/Speer Gold Dot. It's a full size, heavy, ugly firearm--------but I'm a full size, heavy, ugly kinda guy :D . I've never had an issue with ANY Sig I've owned.

Current carry piece is a Sig P239, which - with the exception of limited capacity - is just about perfect. Once I get a holster for it (I've already been in contact with srigs), I plan to add the FNX-9 to the rotation
