Tom has made references to his last class it Cokato (without any specifics) a number of times. Something about "It was more than interesting", and telling me to "get ready for this one". Are there any guesses to what he's referring to?

Since nobody has ever provided details, I'm guessing it was either really bad, or really lame.

So, either this:

I cannot confirm, nor deny, that which happens in Cokato. I only unlock the door. :|

As promised:

Map to Rainbow Sportsman's Club.

Depending which way you are coming.

From the North:
head into French Lake. This is Cty Rd's 37 & 3. There is a gas station on the South east corner here. Take County Road 3 South from the 4-way stop. Turn Left on County 100.

From the South:
At Casey's Gas Station (only light's in Cokato, The also have a Raspberry Flip here I love hint hint ;) ). Turn North and go about 3.5 miles to County 100, Take a Right.

This intersection has signs for Rainbow Sportsman's club as well as several old school house, Township hall buildings.

At this point the directions are the same.

Go east 1 mile. At this T-intersection, Turn left and head up the hill. Going approximately 1 mile north.

As you come over the hill, 1/10 mile past the road going to your right. the entrance for the Club will be on the right hand side of the road. The main club house will be the second building in.

I will try to be at the range by 7:30 AM. This is as much to warm the building as anything. While the range house is heated, bring a vest or something. It's not without drafts.

Cell service is not an issue for me here. but for others, it has shown weak signals
PM if you need my cell number.

There is a refrigerator and a percolating coffee maker. Running water is present, but I wouldn't plan on drinking it. I will bring a gallon of water the first day and scrounge up some coffee, I hope you like leaded and black...I make army coffee. It's either too strong or too weak. Complain and next pot you make...:P Personally, I don't drink it.

I do have a small gas grill I bring with to the range. It's a little table top thing that works good for brats and burgers.

Given the lovely weather, I am curious as to any available lodging nearby. Also, who wants to carpool from the WSW metro (say, 494 and 394-ish?)

Instead of a carpool, does anyone want to snowmobilepool?

Also, are snowshoes advised for Sunday's range work?

Seriously, waking up to a blizzard on Saturday morning is really going to suck.

Hey farmerj, aren't you kinda associated with training, bad weather and cancellations because of?

Not poking a hot stick in the eye, or salt in the wound, but I think I remember this happening in the past. ;)

Seriously, hope the weather holds out for you guys, the PPOTH class has some pretty good information in it.

I have a cot, and am considering just camping out at the club house on Saturday night if anyone else is interested.

There is a TV/DVD/VCR player available for entertainment.
