I like what she says on the first page about respecting other people's choices. Not everyone does that! I also like her voice and the way she illustrates things with metaphors. I still don't think I will ever carry a gun but on the first few pages that I saw of the book it looked like some great things about protecting yourself just by being aware and making good decisions. I might get it just for that!

I was thinking of getting that book for Caz, so you can borrow hers if you'd like. Michael Martin's book also has a lot of info on awareness, so you should take a look at that. His wife (I can't remember if you were at the party at my place they came to?) is in the book quite a lot as well, and he relates much of what he says to women. I've got a copy of that one, too.
