I've been working on getting things lined up on my end for a few weeks now. We're pretty much in the bag on the loan, but Potlatch hasn't agreed to sell yet. Their agent thinks they'll go for the deal we have on the table, but at the same time, they completely dismissed my last offer (no counter) and said it wasn't for sale at any price. Then did a 180 and said they'd consider it if the current offer (double my low-ball initial offer) was in writing. :cogitating:

This parcel isn't on the market, so I'm at the risk of them deciding they want to sell it for another 50% more than I'm offering (which is what all their other property is listed at), and I can't go up anymore. I'm at 200 an acre below the average sale price in 2010 for the same property type in the township it's in and the one it borders - so we're close to real value. The issue is they've been sitting on it for harvest for the past 30 or so years, and we'd be cutting that option off. Then again, stump prices (how wood is sold) are next to nothing right now, and this purchase price includes a premium for the wood on the lot.

Part of the problem is it isn't like riding a bike so at this point I'd be afraid to fly the expensive stuff. Yet for some reason I never get around to selling it either.

I'll crash it for you Larry. :rotf:

Potlatch wants a signed purchase agreement from me, and then they'll commit to selling it. Good sign!

Grandpa was a watch maker, I know just enough to be dangerous.

It's just appreciation for real craftsmanship, mainly.
Back to being just a guy.
No, not that guy. Or that other one either.

Nah, no Pateks. A couple of Rolex's, a Glashutte Original, a Maurice LaCroix and a Breitling. Assorted lower priced ones too.

Took me awhile to get this one...

I got a really good deal on this one, but the bracelet took some time to get from Germany...

Hording is not a hobby if you ask me... it needs to be more interactive. For example if you repaired old watches that counts as a hobby... just buying them and throwing them in storage wouldn't. ;)

Who else with multiple expensive hobbies?

Used to do scuba and actually started mnscuba.com

Then got into customizing my truck.

Next was collecting vintage razors.

These says it's photography and shooting.

Ok so don't call it a "hobby." I don't care. I enjoy having several nice watches, just like several nice guns, which I also don't work on.
