Check the NRA website ............look for the seminars they hold on range building and the range planning book. It would be money well spent.

The last workshop I saw was in Vegas I believe. ;)

A few years ago, I worked with a NRA Range Tech Adviser out at Oakdale Gun Club. His name is Stuart Anderson, if I remember right, he was from Deer River, anyway, he's a great guy and he really went out of his way to help us. Although I can't speak for him, my guess would be that he would be happy to help you out any way he could. If you would like his phone number, just PM me & I'll gladly look it up.

Also, if you're ever in the Circle Pines area, let me know and I'll gladly give you a tour of the range at Bill's North. We use the Caswell target system with grounded up rubber from plane tires as a backstop.

Good Luck!

I'd start by checking the local building ordinances..county/township sounds like for you. I've heard here in Mankato that the city won't let it happen; not sure if it's political or the actual ordinance.
