Can't disagree with you, problem is most TV is not good TV (not to say I don't watch too much TV).

3 seasons on a main channel would appear to disagree with your tastes! Not that I disagree with your premise, however I fear the "dramatics" are our penence in order to be mainstream.

Agreed, also if it weren't for the dramatics the wife wouldn't watch it with me, she doesn't care about the guns, she just wants to know who to hate lol

Whatever, I liked the finals. There was a lot of strategy as well as marksmanship as well. And i'm pretty surprised George threw that shot(s?) for Chris, that's some good drama right there.

I bet Gunny is pretty pissed about the last stage, it just shows that the pressure is the biggest factor in the game.

I have a feeling that Gunny missed those last two plates on purpose. At least that is what I am going to believe. After seeing George give it up because Chris could use the money more than he could, I will assume Gunny felt the same. I fair well could be wrong, and probably am, but if I'm not, he made the missed shots much less obvious.

Part of me is leaning that way, too. Don't know. I bet those last two plates looked awful tiny.

Either way, one of my favorite parts of the whole show was the look on Colby's face when George did miss. It looked to me like the classic WTF look.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

And all you guys were George haters. Guy can talk smack for sure but turns out he is one stand up guy and a heck of shot. He is top shot in my book.

Maybe. But if he acts like a d-bag in most episodes and then 'maybe' does a good thing at the end, he still smells like a d-bag to me.

unless that was just the producers staging drama...

It's really difficult to listen to "I'm like..." and "I was like....." over and over again. Sounds like a third grade field trip to the MOA. I'm surprised we didn't see them all on smell phones texting each other.

Still trying to figure out what an Air Force sniper does. I know what a rescue swimmer does.

George was a gate guard with dreams of returning to play football. He may have undergone basic training as a counter-sniper, but he spent a lot of time by a gate checking badges.

Why would you need snipers if you have air superiority? :D

Doesn't compute with me either. Why would you be in the airforce if you A) didn't fly B) didn't work on things that fly C) facilitated the Flying of things from land while they were flying D)Made things that fly E) Managed people who do the previous things?

I worked as a contractor for the Airforce in Germany for 12 years and the only snipers I knew were EOD.
They were issued an M82A1 and they punched holes in UXOs to get them to "Low Order" detonate.

Site security perhaps? My bro-in-law is an MP with the 341st Missile Wing at the Malmstrom AFB near Great Falls, MT. They maintain and operate the Minuteman III ICBMs. They're missile complex covers 13,800 square miles. I imagine a sniper might come in handy for providing site security. Even the local nuke plants employ snipers, from what I've been told.
