Do You Need a House...?

Hey guys,
As you know, the time has come to sell our house. I wanted to give you a heads-up on it in case you, or anyone you know, wants a new place, since the house is terrific all around. The place is fantastically maintained, has absolutely no mechanical or construction problems whatsoever, is immaculate and beautiful inside (we haven't had any kids in the house for almost 20 years!). Vaulted ceilings throughout the main level, a breakfast nook on the south side surrounded by windows, new roof, new driveway, new water heater in the past couple years. I put in a new furnace and new central air since I have been here. We have a great fireplace in the family room which serves as the heart of our home all winter long. And, perhaps best of all from our perspective, a drop-dead gorgeous solarium overlooking our woods in the back of the house with absolute privacy and the most amazing variety of wildlife you have ever seen in the city--pilated woodpeckers, hawks, ducks, turkey, pheasant, deer, coyotes, fox.... I can hardly think of an animal we don't have regularly visiting our backyard. We are in the Mounds View school system, which is reputed to be great. We have limited-stop and express buses to both downtowns within a few blocks (I walked to the St. Paul bus stop for my whole career--three blocks from the house). Great neighbors. Off the main roads in a quiet neighborhood but with almost immediate access to Hodgson, Lexington, and both Hwy 35W and 35E.
The only thing is that it is not a huge house, so it would not be right for a large family--it is three bedrooms, two baths. But if you know someone who would love a beautiful home and doesn't need four or more bedrooms, they couldn't do better than this one!

If only you were selling a year ago! I rented in Shoreview for eight years and my wife and I badly wanted to buy our first home in the area, but everything we looked at was either a bank-owned dump or out of our price range. Looks beautiful, Mike. I wish you good luck and minimal headaches with the sale.

Thanks Mac for your good sentiments! That would have been great to sell to a buddy! I really hope someone deserving gets this place--how great would it be if one of the guys on MGT got it?!

Very nice. But we wouldn't be able to sell ours right now. Too many in forecluse in our complex. We'd like to get back in SLP.
