ok thanks all. my only other guess is the oal of the ammo. i'm at 1.135"

any thoughts?

Well that is .034 shorter then CIP specs, so now the question is what bullet are you using? If it is a round nose you might be too short. If you are using a flat point/ truncated cone or hollow point you could be too long. Some of the bullets I load for in the FP or HP shape are below 1.100. But in my limited experience if they are too long to feed into the barrel they are way too long to seat in the chamber but I have never tested on a GLOCK.

tested a 33 rounder yesterday and i found it was a failure to feed, Then after a tap rack it turns into a double feed.

bullets that nosedive and fail to feed makes me think the mag springs are weak.

Or someone disassembled the mag and has the spring in backwards.
