Wife perceptive...

Postby Rodentman on Sat Aug 20, 2011 6:16 am

The Rodentwoman is more knowledgeable about firearms than I thought. Yesterday she said, "Pretty soon the basement will be filled with nothing but gun stuff."

I'm working on it.

Maybe replace the basement door with one of these.

At a friends house down stairs, you walk down the hallway and you see exactly that, a vault door. He did this when he built, 6 sides of concrete and steel room that doubles as a storm shelter.

That is the coolest thing I have seen today. I want one of them.

I never thought of that when I built the house! Maybe next time....

Doubt there will be any gifts from The Rodentwoman. Her tolerance of me is gift enough.

my wife: "Which ones are mine?"

Me: "The ones you bought"

Tim, I would take this to mean you need to buy twice as many.

That was my take on it as well.

And I have quadrupled my normal gun purchases this year.

Me: I really like your Kahr for carrying.
Mrs. C.: Go ahead and take it, I don't carry it.
Me: Thanks Mrs.
Mrs. C.: You know that means your 1911 is mine now.

My only recourse is to dig up my old worn out recoil spring, install it, happily hand it over and pray that it FTF enough that she buys her own so I can get mine back.
