I've heard many good reviews of this CC .380, anyone have any issues w/ this piece?[*]

Yes.

Big issue.

On a full magazine with one in the pipe, if the slide is gently pushed out of battery a quarter inch or so (for example hastily holstered etc.), there is a good posibility of the slide staying out of battery rending the firearm incapable of firing until the slide is reset (read gently pushed forward. Minimal effort, but the motion must be made). The spring doesn't have the power to overcome the resistance of the round in the extractor passing the subsequent round in the magazine. This has been an issue in every examply I have seen, and seems to be an inherent design flaw.

This is not a big deal however, unless for some reason you need to use the gun in a hurry.

If you take care to make sure the slide is FULLY in battery (minimal effort) I've seen the LCP to be a very reliable gun. That issue, however, prevents me from carrying one [anymore]..... although I have owned a few of them.

first off, welcome to our little slice of heaven. we enjoy new members posting an introduction in the intro thread so we may welcome you properly.

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9427&p=94871&hilit=lcp#p94871

start here for LCP info - it has been discussed quite at length around here in the last couple years. searching the Handgun forum for LCP will yield you a lot of info.

with that said, i'vehad one for a long long time, put a lot of rounds through it and never had an issue once broken in (300-400 rounds). easy to conceal and carry. i mostlyuse it as a back up gun while carrying my PM45. i likes my 45's....

hoep you enjoy your travels around here :D

Maybe, maybe not. It really doesn't take much effort at all to get that gun to jam out of battery. and when it does, instead of "click" it goes "squish"

Just saying.

There are lots of folks that love this gun. I'm sure (read hope) this will never be an issue for them. Outside of that, it is a good gun.

Lint can be an issue on your 2nd shot I have found if carried in a pocket holster but that is probably true of any auto carried in this fashion.

Ive had two, I have one now. They have all had rusting issues, my current one has been parkerized. No more rusting issues. As for the going into battery thing, yanking it out of my pocket holster will pull that sumbitch back into battery in a hurry, she is in there real snug like.

It has been pretty reliable. I adhere to only ball ammo, and I make a point of emptying the mag once a month. It is easy to clean and lube, and I rarely get jams now (only had 2 or 3 total). Everyone should have a LCP to complement their other carry guns.

I carry mine quite a bit in the summer when wearing light clothing. Always in a pocket, in a pocket holster. I make a point of shooting it out of the holster, with the ammo that is in it, when I go to the range.
Like others, after the first couple hundred rounds, I've not had any failures. I take it out about once a week and blow the lint off if I haven't shot it, clean and lube after I shoot.
Have not experienced the out of battery issue.
Remember, gun control is not about guns, it's about control.

Before buying one try the trigger. I really didn't like it. And I shoot a glock so I ain't that picky...
I love it when a plan comes together!

My sister has one, and I can confirm the rusting. She has a fair amount of rust on her barrel. Not IN the barrel, just ON it. However, its a nice light pistol and I'd be easily persuaded to get one of my own

I picked one up for the GF some time ago.

No issues with rust, however she was able to limp wrist it enough to get a few failures to eject. I have never had this problem and she only has this problem when shooting cheap surplus ammo.

The gun has been 100% reliable when shooting WWB and Hornady Critical Defense.
