I was in Switzerland in May 2004, absolutely beautiful country.
On weekends I rode the trains around the perimeter of the country, stopping wherever the trains did, missed my train once and spent the night at a swiss home, very nice people.
During the week I was evaluating special built 5-axis bar-fed milling machines with turning capability at the Willemin-Macodel factory.
Great machines, but tempermental at times.
We used them for machining hand, knee, shoulder devices for reconstructive sugery.

Interesting...I got to see the old Sulzer plant in Winterthur, right before they ran into troubles.

Me thinks I have to rethink where I'd move to if it gets to unbearable to live here.

Sorry, but from what I understand it's nearly impossible to emigrate there.

the crime is low because of the work ethic and the emphasis on "real education". Unemployment is low ... the country is stable for centuries!!
Almost no immigration... no wars to pay for .... plus its country based on banking ......

When that guy showed off three generations of military rifles that had been in his family, especially his old StG57, I just about cried. I saw aPE57 at Cabellas about two years ago (and another at the old North Country in Osseo maybe 15 years ago) and I'm kicking myself for not getting either of them. I'd even take an AMT, but the PE57 really gets my blood flowing. Very cool video!
