Priority mail shipping of 2 pounds cost me 5 bucks earlier this week. A13 oz or less box goes first class for $2 to 3 from MN to MN ZIP. Group buy and flat rate boxes could offset the shipping hit on these to the cities if enough people want in.
Well, if you think that Boston's belts are the same quality, you're mistaken. Here are a few differences:
Mine are made with Solid Brass or Nickel Plated Solid Brass Chicago Screws, not a 5 cent snap that is a weak link in these cheaper made belts. Mine are again, hand burnished edges, not these painted on edges like Bostons, the belt man and most others. My buckles are solid brass, the best you can buy anywhere, not cheap pot metal. yes Bostons will sell you a higher quality buckle at additional cost, mine comes only with the best buckle from the get-go. And lastly (for now) mine are finished with the highest quality Beeswax/natual oils mixture to protect and seal the belt.
My belts are nothing like these mass produced belts. To imply that is just false dreaming.
Just sayin.....

Honestly, I wish you good luck as I do anyone who decides to wade into the waters of pure capitalism and try to make a buck putting their skills to work.
If you cannot take honest criticism and feedback about your marketing from the demographic to which you will be selling it I think you're going to struggle and limit your own success. From a marketing standpoint, calling your product the "$35 belt" and then listing prices that all start with a 4 is stupid... identify the shipping cost separately from the cost of the product and it makes far more sense... Check your ego at the door and learn to take valid feedback that could actually help you and your business long term.
This forum gets spammed by people selling silk wigs and knockoff sports jerseys all the time, having a new poster wander in, market a $35 belt for $43 without any photos proclaiming it to be the best belt produced on God's green earth and then freaking out when criticism is offered does not make me want to do business with you. I like belts, I need a new black belt in fact and I'd probably buy one of yours just to try it out and even post a comparison review on this forum because I like to do that sort of thing (as I appreciate when others relay their experience with new products). Calling people who provide valid criticism and feedback about your uber-belts children and then taking your little red ball and huffing off, however, makes my middle finger twitch and not want to go anywhere near my wallet... The feedback provided was NOT ill intended...
Good luck.
