'99 Olds Bravada - A handyman's STEAL - $1900

I was just gifted a honda - which runs for about 2 cents a decade, and the old vehicle has to go

99 olds Bravada - $1900 - firm

"$1900?" you say "...what's wrong with it?"
Nothing not outweighed by awesome - but that's for later, this absolute steal of an auto is going to require the following repairs at some point - and I'm not going to screw around with them myself... at least not without charging more than I am
-catalytic converter needs to be replaced, this causes the 'check engine' light to stay on when it's warm. we'll go get it coded out together if that will make you feel better
- the front driver's side axel will need replaced as well. I was advised of this during my last oil change, and the mechanic had 'banged it back in to place', which held it for a while, but you'll notice some weird sounds when reversing and turning simultaniously
-the radio... you'll want a new one unless you think AM/FM is fine
-last, and least, the sun roof shad has come away from the sunroof. close the sunroof with the switch, and you'll have to reach back and pull the shade in to place (queue the 'in my day' story)

there ya go- the problems up front, now let's touch on a few of the highlights
-AWD
-tires are 1 year olkd
-full size spare beneath the deck
-4 door
-tinted rear and side windows
-leather heated seats
-power everything
-heated side mirrors
-auto dimming rear view (this, silly as it sounds, is what I'll miss the most)

Seriously, it's an Olds, it's a classy vehicle

She's in good shape, 174k miles, never failed to start (hello 30 below mornings), and never missed an oil change. Anyone interested is welcome to swing by for a look or test drive. I'll try to get pics up tonight.

You can always do the spark plug non-fouler trick on your rear 02 sensor (the one that just monitors cat efficiency, not the one that helps the ECM compute fuel/air mixture).

That is an amazing hack - and I advise anyone considering purchasing the bravada (or ANY bravada) to read it- but - the catalytic converter is broken up inside. I never notice it until I'm idling next to a wall, but I have to assume someone else might want to fix it.

...or simply hack past it :)

Now you have it! Cut out the catalytic converter, sell it for scrap, and weld in a piece of exhaust tubing or even a glasspack in its place. Then you can use the spark plug non-fouler trick (you'd have to weld the O2 bung somewhere in there if it happens to be on the cat itself).***

***Off course this would be for off road use only!!!

Can the vehicle store two different seat settings based on which keyfob is used?
I had a 2001 Blazer that did this and I kick myself in the ass for selling it almost daily.
My wife is 5'4" and I am 6'3", needless to say it was very helpful.
