A Rant.

Postby Stradawhovious on Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:25 am

Yea, I know. Strad? on a Rant? Say it ain't so. :|

So I get home yesterday and put a new gun in the safe...... I have come to a crossroads.

I don't have any more room. I don't want to get rid of any guns to accomodate the new ones, but I also don't have the room for an additional/bigger safe.

:x

I'm sure I will figure it out eventually, but for now it's an irritating issue.

Sell one, buy one.

I found that storing some rifles barrel down gives more room in safe.
Try it, it may help. If it doesn't, I still have room in mine. :D

I've found I can make a lot more room if I disassemble all of them!

I've got the same problem Strad. The biggest obstacle for me is getting the current one moved out and a new one moved in.

No reason ya couldn't get a couple of them, and lay yer boxspring and mattress on top ... someone with some incentive could even build up some wooden falsies to lay in front of 'em?! Image

Then again, at $3,500 a pop, I'd probly just buy/rent a welder and some heavy gauge steel ... wife might still insist on a set of falsies, though! :?

Is it jest me?! ... 'er is anyone else havin' any trouble finding $3,500 in one of them?! Image

With some of the less expensive long guns, you might consider just locking up the bolts

Storage space is always at a premium at my house. Fortunately, money is also an important factor in the size of my collection.
Lack of $$ tempers lack of storage space.
