The AR's haven't got there yet but the Red Wing Walmart has several brands and models of 22's, shotguns, a lever action 30-30 and a occasional mini 14.

Walmart in pine city has guns. They had the colt and sig rifles in stock a few weeks ago.
Wrap that around your overly muscled left wing and row your dinghy in counterclockwise circles as a result.

Yeah...if their SIG is $899, I think I'd buy a 6920 or BCM M4 from Thunderjohn for a couple hundred more...

Buy an AR at Walmart?

Postby ronin069 on Sun Oct 21, 2012 9:34 am

You guys are right about wanting to shop at Wally-World...but for some items you almost can't stop yourself due to the pricing. With that said, I had a major brainstorm last night and "found $600" to go towards future purchase! I travel quite a bit and never do anything with the free rooms and points I have earned, well last night I cashed out my Americinn Inn and Holiday Inn points for nearly $600 cash! Gift cards coming the next next 3-4 weeks.

Stuck on what to do about Delta though...I have quite a bit of miles with them, and I tried like hell to purchase a gift card last night, but it appears that unless you have a Delta AMEX card, you cannot "shop" with your miles; only use them for ticket purchases and upgrades..WTF??? Anyone else ever encounter this?

A few years ago I did a paper on Walmart for school; one of the things I did discover is that they truly do require many of their vendors to create a sub-par version of their regular brands so that Walmart can offer for lower prices. Levi is a very real example, so is Toro...Levi gave in, and the 501's you buy at Walmart are not of the same quality you would get at Macy's. Toro refused, and is the reason you cannot buy Toro at Walmart.

I am surrounded by Walmarts, and their M400 prices are significantly better than I would find at Gander or Cabela's, much less the local shops. Anyone have additional info on their thoughts around Walmart rifles?

NO YOUR WRONG,
about Toro, Several years ago Toro came out with the Steel deck Recycler mower, (a stripped down lower quality product) to be sold thru mainly Home Depot, other Toro dealers have it too, but it is not the same quality as the good ones (Super Recycler Mowers) If Toro were to cheapen it up, It would only have 3 wheels on it. It does not have the same quality or durabilty, and is made in Mexico. Toro has done the same with the Lawn Boy Brand, The good quality Lawn Boys are GONE!, all you can Buy is a P.O.S. @ Home Depot! (exclusive dealer for Lawn Boy) I think Home Depot has a deal with Toro, not to sell to Walmart. Home Depot is a Huge Account for Toro.

I was at walmart in cambridge a few days ago but didnt look at the guns in stock but did see that they are selling ar15 accessorys stocks and such, But a fleet farm is comming to cambridge, it is supposed to have a gas station also and is going to be where the lowes was. I like when fleet farm takes business away from walmart. I would rather go to fleet farm long before I go to walmart

Hell Yeah Chopper! Thanks for the support! All rivalry aside, we all as the shooting community need to unite and stand up for our rights this November. Things could get down right ugly. The more people who own ARs will hopefully voice their stance that the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting.

The wal mart in Fort Dodge, IA also has guns. They had a colt AR as well as Sig and DPMS the last time I was there to buy a hunting license. Apparently some stores in some states have seen the error of their ways in not selling firearms. They had a colt 6920 for $975 which was sort of difficult to walk away from.
