I watched yesterday as The Guns and Gear Online Store (St. Cloud) got "wiped out" of inventory. I ordered a nice 300 blackout at about 9:30 that I had been eyeing up -- they never raised its price from Friday -- but when I went back to cruise through their 10 pages of evil black guns later in the day, there was nothing left - all of nearly 300 rifle choices were gone. Wow.

BTW I gave up on Gander Mountain when they refused to take back or trade in a projectile purchase I made on a sealed and unopened box of Hornady .308 back in 1998. Their policy was "no returns" on any reloading sales, period. Dick's Sporting Goods is as about worthless as a sporting goods store in both price and selection - why would anyone go in there? And Fleet Farm will never get out of the guns and ammo business -- they have not fallen for being politically correct in the 30 years I've shopped there, and they know their clientele very well. Ever been in Cheaper than Dirt in North Fort Worth? Never cared for them either on price, bait n switch advertising, and prices that weren't nearly as good as they claimed them to be.

If I owned Dicks' inventory, I might do the same. Keep the stuff in the warehouse. Imagine how much they are increasing in value! It's win win. They can appeal to the Fudds and antis, who are giving them free publicity. I notice they are not calling them "assault" guns, but "sporting rifles".

Based on their Facebook post, Fleet Farm will not be changing their inventory.

The thoughts and prayers of every Mills Fleet Farm team member go out to the Sandy Hook Elementary families that lost their precious children and to the families of the heroic educators that gave their lives attempting to defend them.

The string of unfortunate events and circumstances that led this individual to murder innocent children and adults is complex. Factors including the permeation of hyper-violent imagery via movies and video games, access to weapons by mentally unstable individuals, lack of armed security in schools and the ability of law enforcement to profile, detect and prevent these senseless acts all need to be discussed as part of a reasonable solution. Surely, as a nation we can and must do better to protect our children.

Mills Fleet Farm is a proud supporter of the United States of America and our Constitution, including the 2nd amendment right to firearm ownership and self-defense. Shooting sports and hunting have been part of America since before our country was founded. Mills Fleet Farm transacts all firearms business in full accordance with Federal and State regulations and will continue to do so. We hope our elected officials choose to address the safety and security of our children and our freedom, instead of a short sighted political agenda that will leave us less free and our children even more vulnerable.

Yep. This sorts out where I'll be buying my nephews' Christmas gift certificates; not to mention my continued patronage.

They had at mags? I was at Oakdale FF Tues night picking up some snowblower parts. They had some ARs, but didn't see any mags on the hooks where there usually were.

Yep FleetFarm's stock went way up in my world.

I must have missed the $60 Pmags. I looked all over for the price gouging and couldn't find it. Good thing I shop at Fleet Farm for my mags.

They got a message on their daily deallys email. It sounds like the weather is clobbering them today, on the heels of the buying panic.

Was at Scheels in St. Cloud Wednesday. Guns and ammo section was full of angry white males but nothing to buy in the way of an AR platform, very little .223 ammo. BUT they managed to up the price on Magpull 30rd "clips" (so named by the White House) to $24.95, limit five please. There must have been 45 black magazines or so hanging there. Proud of the AWMs for boycotting the magazines.
