So someone help me understand why or how 10 is the magic number the anti's are comfortable with.
Here is my issue, lets say a bad guy as a std 9mm poly frame. He has 16 maybe 19 rds, even if he was extended he might get to 33ish. So let me do some math. A good shooter in USPSA does a mag swap in under 2 seconds, a rookie in 5ish, a nob maybe double or even triple that. So say it takes 15 seconds at worst case for a bad guy to change mags, and he would need to do that twice to equal his 30rd mag. So his elapsed time would be 30 seconds longer. Do we really think 30 seconds will make a difference in outcome of these events given police response times.
I would think we should focus on ways to the responce time reduce or preclude the event from ever occuring in the first place (oh wait the NRA already proposed that).
