typical. they still can't produce the SR1911 in the numbers that are demanded, so they release a new product to hit shelves doubtlessly in mid summer, and nobody will see one until 2015

RUGER makes some good products. I'm up to 4 RUGER firearms now.

That and magazine capacity.

Dimensionally the LC380 is similar to the LC9. It appears that they just rechambered the 9 for recoil sensitive folks.

I got a chance to shoot a demo CMD this weekend. It ran 100% has very accurate and fit anf finish was very nice. If I was in the market for a CMD I'd consider one and I'm a pretty loyal Springer guy.

I doubt that. Ruger was not takin orders for a while but I highly doubt it will take two years before ya can buy one off the shelf. Wildfan told me he has a couple on order already.

Also looks like it actually has sights that you can use.

Why would the CMD capacity be listed as "7+1" and the full size capacity be "8+1"? Commanders take the same magazine as a full size. The height is the same (5.45) as the full size.

The gunbroker adds that I looked at say one 7+1 and one 8+1 magazine. The Govt. SR1911 came with one of each.
I think the SR1911 is a nice entry level 1911 but IMO not worth the premium, sometimes well over MSRP that Gunbroker appears to bring when guys start bidding.
