Better plan - let's actively work to make sure our home state doesn't go that way. Forget about hope, take action.

Did the legislation ban 7+ capacity cylinders or speed-loaders?

Based on what Cuomo just pushed through, I bet his supporters will be lining up to make him a candidate for 2016....and that is truly disturbing!

I wonder how they would treat the KSG. 7 round mags but two of them.

... there's cuttin' to the chase! ...

SEN. I'd have thought it was a joke if it wasn't on a .gov page. Now I just think it's a bad joke. They put no real effort in...maybe knowing it was futile?

Wow. Perhaps we the people should start thinking of holding our legislators responsible for crimes against the constitution. The fact that legislators have immunity from criminal penalty for passing illegal or unconstitutional laws is disgusting. We need them to know that they will be held responsible for their crimes. I'd like to see every damn one of them that votes for something like this spend the rest of their lives in prison.

The White House can't declare a law unconstitutional. Only the courts can do that. Even if they could, is there anyone who believes that Obama would do this as result of a petition?

I think that what we need to do is to petition our representatives to eliminate their immunity from prosecution should they pass illegal and unconstitutional legislation. And then establish a mandatory minimum sentence of life without the possibility of pardon or parole for any legislator that votes to pass an unconstitutional law.

It will never happen of course, but we need to begin to remind these asshats that The People are the government, and that they work for US.

Silly little petitions on the White House web site that couldn't possibly succeed is nothing but a waste of effort to fool people into believing that they've done something when they haven't.

We all know that these petitions will do little to change the Presidents opinion, but it does show the legislators how many people oppose their anti gun positions. The only thing most politicians care about is reelection. Barry doesn't have to worry about that anymore, but many others do.

Sign the petition, write letters, make phone calls, send emails and demand to be heard. We need to exhaust all non violent options! I don't want my kids to grow up in a civil war or a country without the second amendment.
