I look at the 86 machine gun ban the same way I look at an AWB. They are both unconstitutional.

While I agree with you, the argument can be made that because it is a tax and not a prohibition it is constitutional. I would argue that you can't tax religion or speech, so you can't that the free exercise of the second amendment.

A line has to be drawn somewhere, in general I don't think we want people being able to easily purchase stinger missiles or mortars. I think the easy answer is to limit the second amendment to small arms.
