I didn't say I was convinced by virtue of your ability. You attempted to deny my accusation by telling me about your Debian chromium or some such thing, and I merely pointed out that nothing you said could be used to prove you are not using him as an alter, and actually gives more evidence that it is likely true.

But I digress. Lets go back to talking about how swat teams are forced to use ARs despite the risk of over penetration and how there is no use in firing a rifle at a range of less than 400 yards. Especially when deer hunting, amirite?

XDM45 is using straw man arguments and sock puppets to troll, and I am bored so I figure I will keep it going. I am getting tired though. You want to take over?

No idea. 2 a-hats on my ban list spewing for something or rather enjoying their exercise in futility.

I think the point has been made, John is a good guy, SOME of his employees suck, I have taken my ARs to the range numerous times and had fun. My LEO friend calls magazines clips and I don't care. I think it's time to just /thread

Wow, take a breather XDM45. No need to resort to name calling just because you embarrassed yourself in this thread.

ETA: And John is a very, very good guy. Very supportive of the shooting community and our rights. I am happy to /thread.

Read who actually posted this. I'm confused

Yeah, people will still call them clips and people will still say "PC" instead of "Microsoft Windows", ya can't fix somethings. I find most computer issues are at the 8th Layer. I can patch an OS, but an end-user? that';s a true challenge. It's the same way with people who call magazines clips. I'm sure if you called a semi-automatic a revolver, just because both are pistols, you'd be corrected.

I mistakenly called a suppressor a silencer and was corrected. I went back and edited my post and changed it in my vocabulary so I no longer use the incorrect terminology when describing that item.

This just someguy and mn016 are trying to give Heffay a run for the money for troll of the year. After every post I make, off they go spewing whatever their saying. The posts I read before I ignored them they seemed like pretty big d-you-know-what..They must have take Viagra to get that big , cause it sure can't be natural.

To be completely fair XDM, you didn't exactly display perfect oral trigger discipline in this thread either.

I was going to post a lengthy diatribe about the 400 yard plus thing being a crock of shart, but it's already been covered.

SPLIT *** General conversation about how ranges should be ru

XDM45 wrote:+1 for ALL of sgruenhagen44's posts on page 5.

@All,

There are Bill's employees who are on this forum and trust me, they know, but they can't post because they can't speak for Bill's, but you can bet your last dollar, they've mentioned it to management I'm sure. Public forums can do a lot more than talking to management after trying and failing at that. Google "United Breaks Guitars" and "Sons of Maxwell" read up on what he did. This thread on this forum is EXACTLY what's needed. I've also mentioned things with no results in the past.

As for BPR, yes, I've seen things there, BUT never by the staff. As for the clientele at BPR, I've never been swept, but I have busted people loading on the tables, and overall, they do seem to be more knowledgeable because it's not a RABS (rent-a-boomstick) place.

I also agree about the comment that people should be booted at the first negligent act. There's no room for negligence like loading a pistol on a table behind the firing line, sweeping the place, and all the other not-so-safe-things people do. If I owned a range, I'd run it that way. The rules are simple actually:

1) Violate the 4 rules of firearm safety (you should know what they are or not handle a firearm) and you're out of here.
(This covers sweeping, loading on the table behind the firing line, etc.)

2) You MUST have one of the following to shoot at the range.
2a) A valid Minnesota PTP with proof of a basic pistol class training within 3 years time (some people may just keep renewing their PTP)
2b) A valid Minnesota PTC.
2c) A valid out-of-state PTP or PTC will be accepted IF the primary person you are with has a valid Minnesota PTC.

3) For the love of god, no rifles indoors.Shooting a rifle at less than 400 yards is pointless. It's like firing a pistol at a target 1 foot away from your nose.Rifles = distance. Use the outdoor range. Same thing for shotguns, trap, skeet, all outdoors.

4) No aluminum casings and no steel rounds. Nothing over a certain fps indoors our outdoors. (Depends on the range's construction indoor and the available space outdoor, but ideally, land space would be 2-3 square miles)

5) It's a "magazine" not a "clip" - unless it really is a clip. In other words, don't annoy me and not know what the hell you're talking about.

6) If you can safely handle and control your firearm, feel free to rapid fire it.

7) We don't rent firearms. Man up and buy one like any freedom loving American does. I get trying before buying, a good idea, but if you just want to rent and not own a firearm, GTFO.

There'd be some other rules too, but those are the first ones I'd implement. I know it's not all-inclusive by any means (and what list really is anyway?), but it's a great start, don't you agree?

You sure do come off as a know it all, especially for someone who claims not to own a rifle.

My main issue with what you said was whaen you stated (quite specifically) that shooting a rifle at an indoor range, and at less than 400yds, was a waste of time. Do you still stand by that? I would whole heartedly dissagree.
