Email from Ann Lenczewski (Bloomington) re: hearing agenda

Postby Inazone on Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:39 am

Sorry if this agenda was posted elsewhere, but I didn't find it earlier. I got this in a reply from Ann Lenczewski after emailing her yesterday about my concerns.

Thank you for contacting me regarding recent proposed gun control legislation. I agree that these are very important issues to many Minnesotans.

Below I have provided a schedule of upcoming hearings related to bills that involve gun control and ownership. These meetings are located in Room 10 of the State Office Building near the Capitol Complex and will begin at 10:00 am. If you would like directions please contact House Public Information at 651-296-2146.

If you are interested in testifying for or against some of these bills, please contact the Public Safety Committee Administrator, Laura Taken-Holtze at laura.taken-holtze@house.mn or at 651-296-8826. Thank you again for contacting me and let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

She doesn't say anywhere she is against an AW ban, but sounds even less enthusiastic about passing one. I'd say she is one of the DFLs that will vote no if we contact her enough.

RE- Rep. Lenczewski

She is a "true believer" and WILL vote the DFL party line. Even though a large portion of her district can't/won't support the AWB and other citizen control bills she "owes" the DFL way too much to vote counter.

She's been my Rep. for way too many years to expect her to vote otherwise.

yep, she always talks about the rich needing to pay their fare share and we need a more progressive tax system. She will most likely side with the antis to keep them on her side of the tax debates. :-(
