I was watching Lawrence O'Donnell tonight on his show "Last Word" and he was calling the NRA and it's MEMBERS (you and me) "crazy people" because the NRA has an "enemies list". Yeah, WE know that this list is nothing more than a list of organizations that do NOT support our 2nd amendment rights. Well, Mr O'Donnell demonized it as much as possible and matter of factly stated the NRA and it's MEMBERS were racist and anti Semites because some of the organizations on the enemies list supported black or Jewish causes! Really? I mean REALLY? How low are these Libtards willing to go? Yeah, I know, I'm not supposed to stoop to their level by name calling, but I'm steamed! There are people out there that actually listen to this jerk-face and BELIEVE him. It is definitely not making our job any easier when some (most) of the media gives airtime to these rancid sacks of meat spouting lies and passing them off as truths. What's that other saying....If you tell a lie often enough to enough people, it becomes the truth?
This weather needs to warm up a bit more and the ammo shortage needs to abate so I can take some people who are fence sitters or semi-anti 2nd amendment noobs to the range to let them experience shooting a gun firsthand and show that law abiding gun owners are NOT the problem. Ok, rant done....for now.

I think you should go with your original plan, and throw the brick through your TV. Like it or not, you're being indoctrinated by that thing. It's a well known fact that the flickering of the TV puts your brain into a semi-hypnotic state. All sorts of ideas can be slipped right past your conscious mind, and implanted right onto your subconscious mind...and believe me, they are. Besides, just look at all the energy you have wasted on that stuff.
Just think about what would happen if a significant number of us simply tuned out, and stopped participating in this silly left vs. right game that the TV propagates. People would actually go to the polls and vote based on the true issues of the day. It would take about two seconds for the average person to figure out that Fox News, MSNBC, and the like are nothing but crap. Piers Morgan, Rachel Maddow, Ann Coulter, et. al. would just dry up and blow away like leaves in the fall wind, because in the grand scheme of things, people like that mean absolutely nothing to you or me during the course of our daily lives.
You lend legitimacy to them by tuning in, whether you agree with the message or not. Just think about it. All of this crazy anti-gun nonsense we all hate, all of the people who go to the polls and vote emotionally, all of this crap about how our way of life is evil...where do you suppose people learn to think that way? The TV, that's how. It's scary how much power that thing has over our society.
I quit watching TV years ago, and it's one of the single best things I've ever done for myself, right up there with quitting smoking. Give it a try sometime.
