Best Day In aong Time

Today, I did Two Firsts in my life.

1st, I got to shoot my new 30 Carbine for the Very First time! It was awesome. It is the first time I've ever fired one.

2nd, I shot the Very First round I had Ever Loaded. It was in the 30 Carbine and it was music to my ears. I had a grin from ear to ear when it fired and actually hit, what I was aiming at

Today, Was An Excellent Day for Me.

I hear ya there. I was pretty happy when my first batch of reloads went off without a hitch and actually turned out to be a very good load. It's pretty much the same feeling for me every time I start reloading a new caliber and get out to the range to try out my new test loads. And the 30 Carbine is great, it's an absolute blast to shoot plus everyone is always looking when you show up too shoot one!

Thanks everyone. It really felt good when the first round went bang. When I began reloading it never crossed my mind about how I would feel when that first round went Bang, and not Click!

It even made it better when it was being shot out of my new gun that I had not shot yet, and it actually hit the nine ring. It was a memorable moment.

The only better feeling is to look at your hands right after and still be able to count to ten.
My first reload was a .300 WinMag. The rifle was my 5th anniversary present from Mrs. C. I think I was more afraid of blowing up the rifle than I was loosing digits.

It was the same for me. Come to think of it I don't think I have shot one round of factory ammo through my 9.5 super red hawk.

I sold the last of my factory loads this weekend. 1k 9's /1k 45acp's 2K total all gone and never going to buy again. Best feeling I've had about a firearm related decision in a while, even have the wifee's grace spending all that cash on reloading...kinda
