Just got an invite from OGC

Last night I got an invite to join OGC. I am excited as a kid on Christmas Eve. I can finally go shooting with my sons just about anyday of the week now.

How long were you guys on the waiting list?
Took me from May of '10 until Feb '12 to get in.

Got mine too. I don't remember when I applied, but it was right after they opened it up on the new website in 2012.

I signed up as soon as the website let me last year. I do not know if it is trued but. I heard something about the old waiting list got screwed up about a year before that. Anyways my 3 son's will shre like to go shooting when we have time. Rather than just on Sat and Sun in the winter and Tues, Thur, Sat and Sun in the summer. They are also looking forward to shooting at 200 meters with there sage rat blasters.

What are some things that members can do that the general public can not do? I can not get onto the members rules page yet.

OK, so did they raise the membership cap? Loose the old waiting list, Which I heard was over a 5 year wait? Or are past members just not renewing?

The waiting list was working perfectly through the end of 2011 (it was under my control until then, so I know what I'm talking about...). The new IT director upgraded the website software which (briefly) affected the ability of non-members to register for the waiting list, but did not (to the best of my knowledge) affect the existing data on the waiting list...

The club increased the member limit for 2012 which effectively cleared out the backlog last year - which is why so many folks who signed up even recently are being invited this year.
