If you do go with single get some set screw rings to replace the Lee rings so you don't have as much set up time when changing dies.

Well don't I feel dumb. I've never even thought of changing those out.
I got nothin'

I too started with a Lee single stage. Recently upgraded to a LnL AP and replaced the Lee with a LnL single stage. I recommend this setup if you know you will want to crank out the rounds eventually. Start with the single stage kit (Hornady has a bullet rebate for it right now) and then eventually you can add in the AP. The beauty is that all your stuff will be setup to easily use with the AP as well. I love the quick caliber changes with the LnL system and the ability to move from one press to the other without needing to recalibrate anything is really nice too.

Lee or RCBS?

Yes. If you want a single stage get the Lee Classic Turret.

While I haven't reloaded on mine yet, my research pointed to this as the best low-cost yet faster option.

This post vs. my opinion proves the point that none of the players in the reloading game make bad stuff. I prefer RCBS dies over lee, and I've loved my RCBS powder dispenser since day-1 for everything but Trail Boss. You really can't go wrong. The equipment is a distant second to the passion. You either get into it or you don't.

I have stuck more cases in RCBS dies than any other, I will have a couple sets for sale soon ;)

That has happened to me a couple times that I forgot to apply the Imperial Wax. IIRC, it was always while doing 300 WM. Stopped One-Shot aerosol spray stuff a few years ago and have never had a stuck case since, that I didn't cause by going too fast and forgetting the Imperial.

I started on an RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit and am very thankful I did, it got me a good starting point and even though I now have a progressive for my pistol and .223 ammo I still use my rock chucker for all of my .308 ammo. I use a mix of RCBS and Lee dies, I tend to favor lee for pistol and RCBS for rifle, no real reason that I can think of though.. I guess my advice is to go for any single stage (I don't think there really is a bad one) if you plan to get a progressive in the future or are just loading low quantity, otherwise go turret. Whatever kit you buy though, realize you will still need to spend quite a bit more on other accessories. I don't have experience with it but maybe look at the lyman kit, I think it has a case trimmer in case you plan to reload for rifle, which can be a fairly costly accessory.
