22/45 LITE Muzzle device?

Postby LumberZach on Fri Apr 19, 2013 9:56 pm

So we added a Ruger 22/45 LITE with the threaded barrel and iron sights. I am pretty excited about it.

Good luck with your mom! I saw one of those 22/45 lites at a local shop the other day, what a cute little package 8-)

New question as the heading says, I have decided to find the most terrifying muzzle break on this thing that I can. What do you guys suggest? Anyone know something cool? It is a .22 and we probably won't shoot it well enough to notice any difference in helpfulness so I am looking for something terrifying without costing a ridiculous amount for something "cool".

Thanks guys.

This muzzle brake looks rather "extreme", and the price is decent: http://www.veriforcetactical.com/Door-B ... -M4-Rifles

I think anything less than a JP Tank brake is money wasted, especially on a .22. :D

In all seriousness, there's a couple of .22 comp's made out of aluminum. It would be a shame to slap a heavy steel device on something you bought because it's light.

Why a break? You could put a flash surpressor on it - and there are plenty of terrifying ones - That's why they keep trying to ban them.

Every .22 needs one of dem der things FJ540 sells. Everyone needs an "STD" to mitigate the flash impulse.

Thanks for the plug infidel.

I've never tested them on a .22lr, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you'd like to try one, I can try to make that happen for ya.

$60 at Bill's Robbinsdale, and slightly cheaper at Atomic Tactical in Bloomington.

The 5.56's are 2.24 ounces, so they don't add much weight, and are 1.67" long.

Glad to hear it, I may give that a test drive. Even if it is jankey on the pistol, I wouldn't mind one on the AR.

Ken at AT put one on their walther p22 and it looked sexy. I should've taken a pic. 8-)

I would be interested in getting a Black STD for my Ruger 10/22 once they become in stock again...

Reading that just doesn't sound right... LOL

If Atomic doesn't have them, it's news to me. I know Bill's has them.

There's no shortage of black 5.56 STD's. I'm working on getting my lot of .30's ready for heat treat right now. Satin .30's are available too, but no one has ordered any yet, so I'll sell those direct. Black should be done early next week.
