Postby Gustavs01 on Wed Jun 12, 2013 6:53 pm

So I've had the chance to get about 1,000 rounds of mixed .223/5.56 down range with my IWI tavor, Very sexy new battle proven Bullpup rifle just released in April by the Israeli company here in the states, I have yet to take it out past 80 yards since that is the limitation of my home range. I had Mike coffery of Woodbury, MN locate me one, he is an ffl and mostly sells hi points and Thompson carbines, I paid MSRP, but well worth it, I'll be at the SHTF 3 shoot down in Morristown June 22, and the Tavor will be in tow.

Looks awesome as all get out. How's recoil on it and what's the trigger feel like?

Since it's a bit heavy in both weight and trigger pull the recoil is not so bad, but the trigger does effect groupings. But it takes a little getting used to, it's hard to unlearn how to hold the AR15 vs the six point holding of the Tavor

Here's a Youtube video that shows a simple trigger job for the Tavor:

Gets the pull down to around 7lbs.

Yeah, I don't know about that. I don't mind the trigger pull, because I know it's reliable, and IWI has come out against this from removing any components to the trigger pack.

Extremely jealous, even if it does have a heavy trigger to learn.

if I had a spare 2k lying around, I would be tempted. :)

Would be torn between this and a Steyr.

In my opinion, the Tavor destroys the steyr aug, but both have pros and cons.

Can you put a foregrip on the Tavor or is it just hold under or on the hand guard?

You can purchase an optional pic rail for the bottom of the handguard, and put whatever pic-rail accessories you want, foregrips included.

This was just featured in Gun Digest, along with their other gun, the Uzi Machine Pistol. I want one of each! IWI is out of Pennsylvania.
