didn't see any powder er primers ... not much fer bulk bullets ... though there were some 180gr .40's

... also one LNL-AP fer $450

otherwise, lots of Hornady and RCBS equipment ... more than a few Hornady dies ... common calibers

I picked up a couple boxes of SST's

Oh ya ... they got a few Hornady powder measures ... but no case-activation kits! :?

Was there a few days ago looking for small pistol primers, young guy working the dept I was talking to let it slip that they have powder and primers in the back, but won't be put out until they have their 'official' launch of their reloading equipment sometime in the next 4 weeks. At least that's what came out of his mouth. Ended up scoring a box of small primers at Gander Mountain, must have been living right that day.

Great move on fleet farms part. Scheel's had a good 60-70 K primers in their case, but they don't want to sell them....2k limit per customer!

They are not holding back powder/primers, Blaine had 5k small rifle primers (CCI AR type) hit the shelf earlier this week but they sold out fast - just haven't got them in quantity hitting the supply chain yet.

Oh, they'll sell them. It might take them a whole day. Then they'll have 30 reasonably happy customers instead of a couple really happy gloating hoarders.

They need to take lessons from Scheel's . Scheels has a wall full of Dillon, MEC and tons of bullets and powder and 1000s of primers

After leaving Scratch's house today I stopped in the FF in Hudson, WI I am glad I did! I picked up some 44mag projectiles, Hornady 240gr XTP and 2000 Winchester Small Pistol Primers ($34.90 a box...only had them priced as 100ea packs but had a few full boxes). The primers were behind the counter and I only discovered them after to talking to the salesman about them getting reloading components.

He said that ALL FF's should have their full inventory in, including powder, by July 31. They did have some Hornady Die sets and a couple RCBS Dies among a limited number of items. All bullets (projectiles) were Hornady, both pistol and rifle. They even had a RCBS Media Separator (rotary type) for just over $30, which I thought was reasonable.

I stopped at the Fleet Farm in Hudson today. I work in River Falls and live in Oakdale.

They had a bunch of stuff from (I think it was) Hornady. They had plenty of room for more stuff. They had some .30-06 cases and a few others. They had some .45 GAP cases. It made me wonder who is setting the inventory? Is that case going to be a big seller? I would think a store like Fleet Farm will be stocking the most popular sellers. Maybe I am wrong. I have never worked in retail so what do I know.

The gentleman I talked to said they received part of their order and stocked it but the rest should be in soon.

I will have to stop by my local Fleet Farm in Oakdale and see what they have.

It will be nice to have someplace to get stuff that isn't on the other side of the world, doesn't charge for shipping, and is open decent hours so a working guy can get there.

If you want to take up loading 9x23, Blaine had a good 10-20 bags of it!

Maybe the person ordering it made a brain fart and thought it was 9x19?

With your skills Jim, I'm surprised you didn't buy ALL of it and just cut it down :stirthepot:

I already have 2K cases of 9mm.

I was tempted to buy a couple and then get the second barrel for the STI. Not enough money on hand for that though. I started another 2011 build in .45.

I was just at the Oakdale store this evening after stopping by Joe's Bait to pick up the donated prizes for my Cub Scout fishing contest.

They also had a bunch of the 9x23.

They are in the same boat as the Hudson store. Lots of Hornady and RCBS stuff but not a lot from other manufacturers.
