I like the idea'yer of the LCP but keep holding out that I'm going to stumble across a deal of a P380.

Does the new & improved LCP come with a new & improved price?

Less expensive than the jam-o-matic Kahr P380's, but no it's still around $300 bucks retail

The price has not changed, nor has the part number, etc. Just a new trigger and sights....welcome changes. Ruger still has pictures of the old ones on their website even....

Well, those are both good changes. But I doubt they're critical enough to warrant trading in an old one for a new one...unless Ruger gives us a mail-in-rebate or something.

Looks sweet. Wife shot a 2.5 "6 shot group at 21 feet, standing today....first time ever shooting an LCP, 3rd time ever shooting a pistol. So all you guys who can't shoot them....well...it's you, not the gun.

I don't know why people have an issue with the LCP trigger. Once you get used to fully releasing the trigger with the double click reset, it's decently shootable and both of ours are boringly reliable (FMJ and JHP).

The better sights would be nice though.

I carry a LCP with crimson trace every day. Never had to use it, but I would assume that you are in close quarters when you do. Probably in a panic. So you just point and click. No easy trigger squeeze, trying for that bullseye on paper. I thought the laser was appealing, but wonder also if it is necessary, other than a deterent. In a life or death circumstance, Im sure the last thing you are thinking about is the laser, hopefully my fingers hit the grip switch by design and all works out. My LCP aint no target gun, but im sure it will work fine for what it is designed to do. Sure does fit in my pocket nice too.

I've been kicking around getting an LCP for about a year now. Actually pulled the trigger once, but my NICS got delayed and it wasn't worth the 60 mile trip back to the shop to pick it up when it was approved the next day. Glad I waited. Just won a Henry .22 lever action at a county fair raffle last night and today traded it off on a new LCP. Should be arriving tomorrow or Wednesday. New office carry gun for $10.....who can beat that :D

You're going to regret your carry choice someday when you're facing a band of thugs in body armor with AKs!

Perhaps I will. I thought about the poor guy that got beat in the cities this weekend by the gang of thugs. I put myself there with my little LCP. Hopefully the first couple pops would scare the mob away. Then again, I have a FN40 with OWB holster when Im dressed properly. Hell, I guess I could go all out with the Desert Eagle 50? It doubles as a hell of a club. The LCP is just so easy for everyday carry.

The pocket pistol is essential if you have a PTC in my opinion....use better options when available. The Ruger is much nicer than th P3AT, they basically copied it and refined it. Nothing wrong with the Kel-Tec, but they feel cheap to me and I like nice guns. The LCP "feels nice". It's not a Sig or Colt mouse gun, but it's still refined IMHO.

You are correct Grouse. I was a toss up when I bought my LCP. I wanted a S&M body guard, but they were back ordered at the time. I believe they had just came out. I got talked into the LCP. Its not one I would take to the range for fun, but it works. Every time. Plus, I can take it anywhere. I have friends that laugh that I have 2 carry guns. They dont carry all the time. I told they they may consider it, if they had a slimmer option. Right tool for the right job.

You gotta admit that the LCP is just so darn convenient to slip into a pocket holster and forget about it and go about your day.

And a plus for no safety, I won't carry a gun with a manual safety.
