I just accidentally discovered these forums while looking up something, so I thought I'd come in and check it out and say hello!
I'm 43, born and raised in MN and have lived here a majority of my life. I learned to shoot .22 rifles at YMCA camp and also had a few different bb and pellet guns growing up. When I was 21 and living in AZ, I bought my first gun, a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum. After that I bought a LLama 9mm and a Davis .380 ACP. Aside from the guns I owned, I also test fired numerous other handguns when I'd visit a local gun store down in Phoenix. Over the years life kind of took over and I went shooting less and less. I sold the Ruger, the Llama, kept the Davis (for some reason!), but would eventually go to a range less and less. Up until earlier this year, when decided to rekindle my interest in firearms, and purchased my Kahr CW45, I had not fired any weapon since July of 1997. So in my mind, I'm still very new to firearms and shooting.
I really like my Kahr CW45. It wasn't too expensive. I think it shoots great. And it seems very reliable. I briefly had a Diamond Back .380, but it was junk, so I got rid of that. I then picked up a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380. It shoots fine and seems both reliable and accurate. The laser and trigger pull leave a bit to be desired for me though. But that's my story so far. I'm looking forward to learning from the group and hopefully have something to offer as well!
