…..Paymar, the chairman of the House Public Safety Committee, has been a legislative leader on criminal justice issues, passing bills on preventing domestic and sexual assault, confronting sexual exploitation of children and sex trafficking.
"I've always believed that we needed to be smart as well as tough on fighting crime, which is why I've been an ardent supporter of drug courts, re-entry programs for offenders leaving prison so they can successfully reintegrate into society, drug and sex-offender treatment and youth intervention programs," he said……..
Paymar says he wants to pursue other professional aspirations (he's involved in a nonprofit). He's been vocal on mnleg gun issues

I will say Paymar was at least cordial in the hearing last year ... something SEN. Ronnie Latz and his groovy ghoulies must certainly were not.
My wife went to religious school w/ Sen latz .... she disliked his arrogant self righteousness back then ................
