Until recently I would have disagreed with the idea of friendly sales staff but the last 2-3 times I've been there they have changed my mind drastically for the better. I won't say I was ever treated poorly, I would have said they never acknowledged I was there. Even after dropping hundreds of dollars on a gun or reloading equipment I hardly got a "thank you" let alone a "hello".
Their selection of used guns is quite large compared to many others but it is not nearly as large as it used to be. I really appreciated the number of oddities they had which is what kept me coming back. What I have found lately has been a pale shadow of the past and I hope they are able to acquire some of the rare but not necessarily collectible arms like they used to.
They also have a large selection of parts which spans a mind boggling range of models and years. They are the place I call if numerical or a couple other places don't have what I am looking for. I would call them first but they are often a little more expensive and I have to pay sales tax which makes it even more expensive. Plus, it seems I usually have to drive down which greatly adds to the cost- not just the time and gas for me to go there but all the other places I stop and often end up buying things along the way.
My latest experiences were so positive that I chose them to do a rebarrel of a Savage 1899 take down which could be a little tricky. They have a very good reputation for gun smithing but what I had experienced had put me off of considering them until now.
