I'm guessing that quantity of .243 in one listing will stand out as would the 40 grain Winchester varmint .223 HP, the rest will probably get lost in the normal clutter since it's pretty common stuff. Sorry to hear about your friend's bad luck!

Ok, correcting Gunsmith's error above. How come they didn't get any of his friends guns? Were they in a safe?

I purposefully omitted details of the event in my original post for what should be obvious reasons. What is important for this community is for us to assist in apprehending those responsible if possible. After all they may move on to visit one of us next...

And the community will do what it can but it would be nice to have some take a ways that will help us not succumb to the same fate. Such as why the alarm didn't deter anybody from getting the jewelry or maybe it wasn't where it is traditionally kept and maybe the alarm wasn't protecting the garage...

I don't see how more details would help anything but personal curiosity at this point, we know they stole quantities of ammo in specific caliber/configurations so we know what to watch out for in the secondary market.

I would also look for people wanting to buy a rifle chambered in .243 of course it's not a for sure thing but it's a different angle.

Understood. My thinking was if it was opportunistic teens hitting an ex friend vs people who will be in my neighborhood next (I live in Prior Lake)...there is a big difference.

I doubt that a thief would take the time with gunbroker. If it's going to be sold to someone other than the local drug dealer, armslist. OP, can we at least get what county this is in?
