.22 LR

Postby gun_fan111 on Thu Dec 04, 2014 7:12 am

I think Arnzen had some listed as in stock on their website yesterday
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

Combination of alot of new shooters, people who strike out a few times so when they see it they buy a ton, and the people who bought to flip for a profit. A perfect storm that keeps itself in a cycle.

It's getting better but still far from great. Morbius summed it up fairly well. 50rd packs seem to be getting a lot easier to come by. The bulk pack ammo is still pretty rare. Hopefully now that everything else is back on the shelves the 22LR is not far behind.

Going through Oklahoma cities yesterday I can't tell you how many "we have 22 in stock" signs I saw so it must be getting better.

If I were a manufacturer I would not see the economic benefit of increasing production much. When 22 LR's become readily available again, there will be a glut on the market because all the hoarders will be dumping their supply or using up what they have stored and little demand for new purchases.
Because I care, I carry.

I've been finding plenty of .22 LR online. Cabela's and Gander Mountain offer free shipping to your local store and/or reasonable shipping prices to your home. Keep an eye on their websites and I'm sure you'll find as much as you need.
Another good website is for .22 ammo is http://www.slickguns.com/ and ammoseek.com
Good Luck!!

I saw some up in Hibbing last week, which is is first in a while.

I think Gander is having a 6am DOOR BUSTER sale on Saturday morning. 323 packs of Federal Auto Match for $23 I think.. Same stuff that Joe's had a month or so back for the NON sale price of $18 and change..

I think it is coming back, and I would guess by next summer you could buy it whenever you wanted, might not have a choice on brand.

I just noticed on Facebook that B&R Guns out west of Wadena has Lapua Standard Plus $50 for 500. I know nothing about the ammo or if it's a good price or not!
