This was in New Hope.

Here is that councilmember's bio on New Hope's website

Council Member John Elder
Elder has worked for 21 years in law enforcement for the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Lakeville Police Department and New Hope Police Department. He is currently a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Minneapolis Police Department.

Here is a story about him...

Am I the only one wondering how in the world said councilman concealed a Glock 34?

Was this the same idiotic councilman that was screaming for them to shutoff the cameras? Apparently him screaming like a girl got removed by the media.

Media Censored Video:

Unless they adjourn the meeting, it legally has to be recorded. Does anyone still have a link to the video with him screaming?

Actually he says that very thing in the video you posted. The TV crew simply pulled the audio fader down on the mixer. Then the sound goes away. That's all. no conspiracy.
What would you expect him to say in that situation?

EDIT: unless you mean the bleep. That was someone saying a swear word. I heard the original and that is all that was bleeped.

I can't recall how to embed the video. But here is the un-bleeped version.

No it doesn't. That's not a law or requirement. They need to take minutes. Recording is commonplace and is a good idea for legal reasons or to make the meeting available to others after the fact, but it is not required.

There is a full video showing the officers being sworn in, and it goes all the way through the shooting. The guy goes nuts about the camera being on and starts screaming SHUT OFF !@#$^ THE CAMERAS!!! a bunch of times... There is an uncensored video of it somewhere. I'll post it when I find it.

Now, I'm missing something. The man defends his coworkers with a firearm and some of you are saying he's insane for wanting the cameras to be shut off.

Would you want the cameras on? What happens is the shooter came in and started blasting everyone with a shotgun.

Let's argue about something much more important. Like what the hell was he thinking when he decided to carry the 34 instead of I dunno a 19?

Cameras on, indisputable evidence one way or another. Does any one really think his first thought was I have to protect every one? Gun comes out to save his own bacon.

My thought is, if I was in that situation, I really doubt I would be thinking of the cameras until after the fact.

If he is yelling about the cameras during the shooting, something is really odd there.
