Anybody ever heard of Firearms Policy Coalition?

Postby 2in2out on Wed Mar 25, 2015 6:38 pm

I just got a mass-marketing e-mail from a group called "Firearms Policy Coalition" at firearms policy dot org. Has anyone ever heard of them?

Sounds like just a solicitation for money, and they don't waste any time telling me what they want:

Dear pro-gun friends,

There are no fewer than 10 critically-important lawsuits that we'll need to brief in the coming weeks to defend your Second Amendment gun rights.

Each of these cases will shape the future of your Constitutional rights. Each of these cases could end up being decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. And each of these cases need your full, 100% backing and support.

Here's the math: It takes the full annual membership dues of about 2,000 FPC Official Members to fund a single federal court brief, and about 20,000 new members to fund another major gun rights case.

Not planning on contributing anything, unless someone believes it's worthwhile. My money is better spent with the likes of people I know who'll spend it wisely, such as GOCRA and MNGOPAC.

It's the policy organization associated with the Calguns Foundation. They're legit.

Though I typically keep my money locally ;)
