OCG new badge front

Postby hard h2o on Sun Apr 05, 2015 6:41 pm

What do you OGC guys do with your badges for the new year?

This is my second year. I do not want to wreck my badge so I am being cautious.

Do you peel off the previous year's badge front and affix the new one?

Gently clean the surface of the old one, let it dry, then slap the new one on top of the old one.

Thanks. I did not realize the new one was adhesive backed.

used to send out a 1 page instruction sheet so people would know not to throw away the electronic and just change /add cover.

Was out last week and encountered a newer member whose "card" did not open the gate..........he was using the new cover only

Peeling last year's cover off keeps the badge lighter.
When you're HSLD, every bit helps.
Don't let the added weight and bulk cause a fail when it's critcal.

It's tricky to peel off the backing. Keep at it and try a razor blade or other very thin thingy to gently pry up the corner.

A note along with the new badge front would have helped. I initially had the new front on the lanyard with the badge and old front.

The 2014 front peeled off fine.

So, what I'm hearing is that the new id is a bit of an IQ test? ;)

I guess I didn't pass. My hours will have to be spent digging ditches and cleaning latrines.
