Unfortunately, I've been sick for a while and had to miss last night's match as a result, but I see from the scores email that it was 3 stages instead of the usual 2. I'm curious to know how that was set up and how it worked out.

We set it up just like we do on the 50yd range at Oakdale in the summer. It balanced the times between the "field" course in the south bay so folks weren't standing around waiting for their squad to start.

But switching between stages for shooters in the same squad gets a bit "infolved" using PractiScore.

Would "PractiScore" handle it better if it was treated as two "strings" in one stage?
Because I care, I carry.

Yes, it would. Joe and I discussed what we could do and that was one of the alternatives. The other was that the tablets be assigned to the stages, not to the squads.

If we use the multiple string option, shooters wouldn't be able to differentiate which stage they did well on, and which one had the amorous pooch. That wouldn't be a problem if we had a tablet dedicated to the stages.

Sounds like there's a significant advantage to 1 tablet per stage then. Are there any disadvantages to doing it that way? User interface weirdness, perhaps?

Can't really say. It's still a "learning curve."

Fair enough. I guess we'll figure it out one way or the other eventually. Just kinda curious what the drill will be next time somebody hands me a tablet. :)
