I agree, he deserves some respect. What helped him is the openness of the process and the availability of the evidence for people to see themselves. When it starts to look like a cover up and portions of the evidence are not made available for scrutiny, it fuels the fires of mistrust. I'm talking about Fergusson and Trevon Martin type of cover up and lack of transparency.

At a certain point, the most ardent agitator cannot stir up trouble if there is overwhelming evidence that says their grievance is invalid. They'll always be able to get the core agitators who will make trouble no matter what, but the more reasonable people - the masses - won't be as energized - because the "injustice" really isn't as bad as they were led to believe. I do think that the BLM movement loses credibility when they get involved in situations that turn out to be farcical.

^ I agree^

I have never thought much of the guy. He's a bit like HHH III, trading on the family name.
Not to mention the first gun buyback in MN was a political ploy from him.

But this was a smart move on Freeman's part.
He obviously knew beforehand, when he made the decision not to convene a Grand Jury, what the outcome would be, and defused the situation as much as anyone could have.
Locally, blm, and their political allies are losing credibility by the hour in light of Freeman's press conference.
The political outfall from this could be interesting if the blm radicals annex themselves from the machinery that exists in Henn Cty.

I just want to say that I love working in Minneapolis.

I get to hear all sorts of awesome opinions from our "customers" in the emergency room.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

The benefit to this process was that along with the support that Tom Bernard has always shown, Joe Soucheray also been pretty vocal on his support for the decision and in calling out the hypocrisy of the BLM. A lot of us in the LE community were very leery of the decision to get rid of the grand jury, but it turned out for the best.

The biggest problem is that that Nekeema Heavy-Pounds came out and straight out said "they didn't even try to appease us...they lied". This is the mantra of the gun-grabbers and socialists who simply want a revolution and want their rules imposed regardless of legality. This is the future with Hillary or Bernie.

I've heard a lot of them whine about how the officer took the kid down from behind like that. Granted, there's no audio on those cameras, but when your standing with your hands in your pockets, back to the police. And they are there because of a violence act. You can bet something is going to happen.

Do they feel entitled?

Do they feel that rules shouldn't apply to them because of skin color?

Someone honestly needs to write a book or handbook. Titled : How not to get shot by police. It won't be a large book. More like a small handbook. Government can buy them. And then have them readily available at hospitals. Give out to each parent when their child is born.

I can't figure out why they always feel like when being spoken to by authority, that they don't need to listen. Why? What am I missing here that makes them feel that way? Is it because they feel entitled? Because of the president we have?

Keep your hands in plain sight when around them, and if officer asks you to put your hands behind your back, just do it! If that kid would have just complied with the officers that evening, he would still be walking around, drinking, smoking joints, and beating women.

I have a feeling that they love lying. Look at how that woman's (his supposed girlfriend) story has changed 6-8 times now since this all happened. It takes away all of their credibility. When it continually changes, you don't know what is truth, what is a lie. No idea anymore. So you almost have to throw it all out, or go off of her very first statement she made. Because of what happened, you have a feeling her story would change to make everyone else look bad.

Gotta love how after the announcement, the news is showing people throwing tables, chairs, benches, and other things out into the street. Then you see video of them throwing garbage bags full of who knows what into the street. Just to block it off.

If you weren't racist before all of this has happened, you still might not be, but it sure starts to sink in and make you question a lot of things. makes you question their mindset, their values, where they come up with their train of thought, and ideas. Why or how so many of them have the time to put into some of these things. It really makes you not feel sorry for them or anyone involved in the whole situation. Worst thing to happen here, is now the officer has to live with the fact of knowing he had to shoot someone. Sucks too! Cuz clark could have easily listened. I don't live in the area of where this has all happened. But I sure don't think that the police department is nearly as bad as they all make it sound there.

Except that BLM, Sharpton & MSNBC don't...or won't.

And now, since the Hennepin County investigation delivered the "wrong" answer, a call has gone out for a federal investigation.

I believe there is one ongoing already.

There is.

Now they're calling for a new "independent" investigation.
Guns are not the problem, people are the problem. And short of lobotomizig everyone who has a bad thought they will continue to be for the forseeable future.

The only investigation that will have any credibility with Black Lies Matter is the one that hangs the cops.
Donald Trump got more fat women moving in one day than Michelle Obama did in eight years.

I haven't read that there's a second federal civil rights investigation, but the usual suspects in the dfl want to form what appears to be a department of redundancy department:

Some Minnesota lawmakers proposed Monday that a special prosecutor be created to handle every case in which police use deadly force, just weeks after a county prosecutor declined to charge the two Minneapolis officers involved in the shooting death of a black man.

Why don't they just skip the middleman, and go right from the shooting to the sentencing phase? That seems to be the only thing that will placate some people.
