How about 45 colt. you have a large range of options if you have a gun with the long .410 chamber.

While 45 colt out of a 410 works, generally it doesn’t work all that great. Lots of free space between the projectile and rifling.

Sounds like an opportunity to create the 45 Super Colt. A 45 colt with 410 length.

Actually that is not a bad idea. There are full length brass .410 cases.

That would be longer than a .460 but I’m not sure I’d want anything more than my .460.

You would not load it anywhere near that. Think of it more like a .410 slug load.

What if you loaded it with Trailboss?

You still would not load it anywhere near .460.

I was more so thinking could any powder safely fill the case and not go kaboom? A 460 is built to withstand higher pressures then a 410 revolver. So most powders would be out of the question as the loads that would keep the pressure low enough would leave way too much empty space.

Correct, the volume of the case would be the problem you would have to solve.

Couldn't you just shove in some wads to fill the space like a shotgun shell? :-)
