I understand that the anti-gun crowd has little practical knowledge of firearms but I will never understand the hate for thumbhole stocks and why, in the minds of the left, they make a firearm more dangerous than one without?

Best I can come up with is that they also hate on pistol grips on rifles & shotguns, and thumbhole stocks are nearly identical, from a functional perspective. Of course, if they wanted to ban things based on functionality, their legislation would be a lot different, so...?
