Sorry :D

I am blaming FJ so feel free to add on the blame!

Hey, I was a late adopter of the big bores. It took me a while to warm up to super low mag capacity, but for hunting it's a non-issue.

.458S drops deer dead. 8-)

My source has a new upper, special for ejection port size, complete BCG with charge handle, two complete bolt heads, 16" barrel, long quad rail, carbine length gas system, for $555 NEW.

Is this a fair price?
Seems ok for me, but asking.

Need to source brass and dies now.

Depends on quality of the parts. The ejection port milling takes all of 10 minutes. Bolt's need a proper ejector and extractor, and even Brownells didn't get those right on theirs. Chamber dimensions on certain barrels are off enough to be a problem on properly sized brass.

The #1 source for info and parts is the original in Tromax Lead Delivery Systems. Everyone else either pays him for the tooling and licensing OR reverse engineer it and run into problems.

Saturn barrels are approved by Tromax. Wilson Combat reverse engineered theirs. There's a pretty big FB group with tons of info.

If you like to tinker Radical (reverse) has deals sub-$500 for complete upper occasionally.

Rock River (authorized) has theirs around $700.

I can give more info but just checkout the group.

Parts have been accumulating over time. Down to barrel, BCG, gas block and tube.

I like it. I may slowly build an upper over this winter...and by slowly, I mean do nothing until all of the black friday deals, and buy most of it at that time :)

Ok, having technical difficulties. Getting a message that my file is invalid when I try to post it. Working on it.
