Minnetonka Sportsmens Club

Postby Baz on Sat Jun 16, 2018 12:10 pm

I just wanted to check to see if anyone on here was a current member or had any recent experience with this club.

I attended the monthly meeting last week and submitted an application for the waitlist being my wife and I placed an offer on a house about 15 minutes away.

If anyone has familiarity with the club/members, any feedback as to the attitude around ARs and the like? I mostly shoot pistols and ARs/semi-autos along with the occasional bolt gun and shotgun.

I appreciate the feedback!

No problem with shooting an AR and the pistol range is ok. Always remember to check the club calendar before you head out as the local PD's use it and when the trap range is in use both rifle and pistol ranges will be closed due to the tight quarters. The hand trap range across the road is usually available for use.

I'm a member.

Read the rules. It is pretty laid back, but I'm usually there during weekdays etc...

There are some proposed improvements to the pistol range right now.

It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
