Clay pigeon thrower recommendations,please.

Anyone have experience with and could recommend a mechanical/electrical thrower similar to the WhirlyBird? It's for a hunting shack so it needs to be somewhat rugged, relatively portable and hopefully sub $500. 6 member group plus guests so needs to be fairly fast, high capacity and reliable

Bring the wife and tell her to make sure her arm is well rested before you go.

You pretty much are asking the impossible.

Rugged, high capacity, reliable, portable.... and sub $500.

The best option I’ve found is promatic. That’s way above your price range. Even that is at fastest 1 bird every 2 seconds.

I think they start in the $2k area. There are cheaper electric traps, but they don’t meet the first part.

Seems to rate the best for your budget. Buy it and try it, if it sucks send it back.

I've seen both Wild Marsh and Caribou selling used ones in the past. But even those they were asking around $1k for I think. Might not hurt to call around to clubs to see if by any chance someone is selling one but I do not think they will be $500.

You might want to think about something like a Promatic Pigeon or Atlas Patriot. They are about as cheap as it gets for something other then Champion. They only have 50 clay capacity but if you position it right you could have someone sitting there feeding it while a group shoots.
