I don’t have a book, but I do have a suggestion:

Rule sheet, not rule book. One page.

The size of the rule book is going to depend on the size and disposition of the club and its facilities.

I'm a firm believer in short, easy to understand rules. The problem is what's common sense and obvious to one member isn't always to another.

I agree fully and lack of common sense is why we have members shooting up target frames, rifle benches, etc. some rounds even fired from down range back towards the club house!

If you are looking for the most comprehensive, i would suggest the DCGC "manual". I think i have an old copy from the old days.

And what possible reason could they have made to say that was acceptable?

Trump!

at least that seems to be the excuse du jour for a lot of irrational, stupid, destructive behaviour these days....

I detest the term "common sense." This is what the stinking Dems say, they want "common sense" gun laws, to wit banning "assault weapons."

Same thing with Socialist Sanders' vagueness that "rich" people should pay their "fair share" of taxes. What % at what income level. Spell out the agenda...

The question is, How is the club going to enforce the rules? You can have all the rules in the world, but if they aren't enforced with penalties, they are worthless.
We have signs posted saying" Don't shoot targets on the ground". Sure as **** there's some bozo standing under the sign shooting targets on the ground. When I asked him if he could read, he just shrugged.
