Walz owns a weapon of war....M1 Garande...how can that be?

Who owns more guns, Tim Walz or Jeff Johnson? The answer might surprise you.https://www.twincities.com/2018/10/07/w ... prise-you/

Interesting that Jeff Johnson has never owned a gun. Walz has two shotguns and the M1 Garande. I’m sure the media will ask him why he needs a “weapon of war.”

Back around 2002, Jeff Johnson was running for the state legislature, and I stopped by a campaign event and asked him about the Minnesota Personal Protection Act, which we'd been trying to pass for a number of years. He was not supportive. Of course, I tried to come across as opposing the bill myself, which I routinely did figuring I'd be more likely to get an honest answer, so he may have just been being a politician.

When the bill was passed, in 2003, he voted for it.

So I generally count him in our corner, but I've never considered him to be solidly pro-gun.

I'll vote for him over Walz because I don't trust the people Walz will be appointing to administrative positions, more than I don't trust Walz.

He may be the best choice there is but still a ******* choice. Never trust a pro gun politician who has never owned a gun.

I still trust politicians that have never owned a gun more than the party that wants to take them away from me.

I didn't say I gave them much trust but I'd definitely lean towards those who leave my rights intact.

Walz is rather transparent in his shifting positions:

He first campaigned locally in outstate MN where gun ownership is strong, thus a pro-gun stance.
Now running statewide he needs the money and votes of the metro dfl, so guns, especially those like he admits to currently owning :?: :?: :cogitating: :?: :?: should be banned.

An interesting twist in shill pieces by the pi-paper

Do what I say not what I do.

Kinda like the AR owner who chopped his rifle in half to show you tube how to make an SBR... oh wait was that his point? I do not recall, did he ever get prosecuted? Oh, wait if you do not mean to commit the crime after the fact and you are a democrat it does not count. We call that do oversese.

An ex-marine liberal that I worked with wanted his own M4 and at the same time said that citizens shouldn't have them.
